Milfoods has launched a coffee capsule line at its roasting plant near Tver, Russia. The project adds a portioned format to the company’s production, while the announced retail launch remains a separate next step.
A new format at an existing plant
Interfax reported on 30 January that investment exceeded 100 million rubles. The facility is in the Borovlevo-2 industrial park. Its roasting operation has been established for more than a decade; the new line therefore expands an existing manufacturing base rather than creating a separate coffee factory.
The regional announcement describes ground, roasted coffee being packed in aluminium capsules. It also points to further investment in automation. That development programme should be distinguished from equipment already installed: a commitment to continue investment does not give a completion date for every subsequent improvement.
Product introduction and sales timetable
The company announcement carried by New Retail identifies the brand as Poetti and specifies compatibility with the Nespresso Original system. The initial collection comprises six varieties across the Leggenda and Soul ranges. Sales are scheduled to begin on 1 March 2024.
Those details give commercial partners three different reference points:
- Manufacturing has started at the Tver-region site.
- The announced collection establishes the initial product range.
- The sales date concerns the next stage of bringing that range to customers.
For an assortment discussion, the useful distinction is between an available manufacturing process and a confirmed delivery. A prospective buyer can use the collection announcement to begin planning, then request the actual product list, order terms and delivery schedule. The notice does not replace those commercial arrangements.
Information for partners
Compatibility is specified for a named machine system. Buyers should therefore retain the full system name in product records rather than describing the capsules simply as suitable for every capsule coffee machine. Likewise, a planned addition to the assortment should enter a purchasing schedule only when its own availability is confirmed.
