Ruspolymet has started serial production of large ring components for GTD-110M gas turbines at its Kulebaki site in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Interfax reported the launch on 7 August. The announced manufacturing capability covers rings up to 4.5 metres in diameter and up to three tonnes in weight, with capacity for as many as 460 turbine ring parts a year.
Equipment across several production stages
The regional government identifies UEC-Saturn in Rybinsk as the main customer. Its announcement describes the purchase of vertical turning machines, a hardening complex and inspection equipment. The project therefore combines resources for precision machining, heat treatment and quality control rather than consisting solely of a single cutting operation.
Each item refers to a different stage of component preparation. The published list does not quantify cycle-time savings or promise a particular reduction in defects. It specifies the equipment scope, while the annual figure describes production capacity. Neither should be read as confirmation that a full year’s output has already been delivered.
Investment and development funding
RBC’s regional report puts the investment in this production project at 822 million rubles. A preferential loan of 651.5 million rubles was provided under the federal Industrial Development Fund’s Components programme. The loan forms part of the project’s financing; it is not an additional investment to be added on top of the reported total.
