Russian Vitriol Company has launched production of ferrous sulphate monohydrate in Blagoveshchensk, Bashkortostan. The new product is intended for fertilizer manufacture and animal-feed premixes, with a design capacity of 3,600 tonnes per year.
Project financing and equipment
The investment totals 86 million rubles, according to the Industrial Development Fund's announcement reported by Interfax on 22 May 2025. Preferential financing comprises 58.5 million rubles from the federal fund and 6.5 million rubles from the regional fund. Together, the two loans account for 65 million rubles of the project budget.
The loan financing supported drying and packaging equipment. The company's own funds paid for a universal bulk-material mixing line and an automatic pallet packing machine. The equipment performs different steps in preparing the finished chemical product for shipment.
A multistage production process
The company reports that the process uses domestic raw materials. The announced production sequence has more than ten stages, including preparation and evaporation of the ferrous sulphate solution, vacuum crystallization, centrifugation and drying. The product's specified form matters to industrial users, so a purchase enquiry should identify ferrous sulphate monohydrate rather than rely only on the general term iron sulphate.
- Location: Blagoveshchensk, Republic of Bashkortostan.
- Project investment: 86 million rubles.
- Design capacity: 3,600 tonnes annually.
- Planned new jobs for the project: 34.
The annual capacity is a planned production level after the facility reaches its intended operating rate. It is separate from the amount already shipped at the time of the launch. The announcement describes domestic manufacturing of a product previously supplied from China.
Product enquiries and project boundaries
Russian Vitriol Company supplies chemical products and publishes separate addresses for customer enquiries and supplier proposals. Customers can contact the sales enquiry address to clarify the product specification and supply terms; suppliers have a separate procurement contact.
The ferrous sulphate project should also be distinguished from the company's earlier investment in copper sulphate production. Interfax reports that earlier project separately, with its own investment and employment figures. The 86 million ruble budget and plan for 34 jobs in this announcement concern the new ferrous sulphate monohydrate operation.
The stated agricultural applications explain the intended customer sectors. An industrial launch announcement alone does not establish every approval needed for a particular formulation or use. Buyers can request the applicable product documentation directly from the manufacturer.
