Supersede has opened a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bristol, Indiana. The structural-materials producer is expanding in Elkhart County to serve recreational-vehicle manufacturers closer to their own production operations.
Production moves closer to customers
The new location complements the company's existing Phoenix manufacturing base. According to the opening report, the Bristol project is expected to create more than 50 jobs. Employment growth remains an expectation associated with the expansion, rather than a statement that every position has already been filled.
Supersede supplies engineered panels as alternatives to conventional wood-based materials. Its broader markets include marine manufacturing, recreational vehicles and construction. Placing capacity near customers gives the expansion a clear geographic purpose: the factory becomes part of the same regional manufacturing network that uses its products.
Earlier financing supports equipment
In May, Closed Loop Partners announced a $5 million loan to support equipment for Supersede's new Midwestern facility. The financing followed the investor's participation in the company's $10 million seed round in 2025. These are separate financing events; the loan amount should not be read as the total cost of the Bristol plant.
The lender also described an interest-rate structure designed to encourage greater incorporation of recycled material into finished products. That provision connects financing terms to material use, although the announcement does not establish a measured environmental result for every panel shipped.
Products and supply arrangements
The manufacturer's published product information identifies applications across several parts of customer operations:
- Marine-board uses including decking, stringers and transoms.
- Vehicle applications including subfloors and walls.
- Other board applications including cabinetry and wall sheathing.
These are product categories, not a declaration that all specifications are interchangeable. Buyers still need to identify the board and application relevant to their project. The company also describes an off-cut buy-back programme as part of its approach to reducing material waste.
